What do you need to know

A participant (director or shareholder) of a company registered in Republic of Lithuania and providing legal activities may obtain a temporary residence permit on a business basis in the Republic of Lithuania.

Requirements for issuing a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania:

  • the shareholder of the company has formed at least 1/3 of the authorized capital of the company. The total authorized capital should be not less than 28 000 euros;
  • the company has been providing activities in accordance with the business plan for at least last 6 months before to the submission of the application for the issue of a temporary residence permit.;
  • the company has employed full-time citizens of the Republic of Lithuania or another’s EU Member State or foreigners permanently residing in the Republic of Lithuania. Their total monthly salary should be two average monthly earnings of the last quarter published by Statistics of Lithuania

  2. List of shareholders (if there are more than one shareholder);
  3. Copy of a valid identity document;
  4. Business plan and supporting documents (we can prepare);

What do you need to know

A highly skilled worker is a person who has higher education diploma or has acquired at least 5 years of professional experience equivalent to a diploma. A highly qualified worker can obtain a Blue Card, which provides an opportunity to live and work legally in the Republic of Lithuania and move to another EU Member State to work in a highly qualified job.
