What do you need to know

A national visa can be obtained on a business basis by a participant (director or shareholder) of a company registered in Republic of Lithuania and providing legal activities.

Requirements for issuing a national visa:

• the company has to be not older than 12 months before the visa application was submitted;
• the company must have an authorized capital of 28 000 euro of which at least 14 000 euro are funds invested by one shareholder.

A national visa is issued for 1 year period but not less than 91 days, except in cases when the application for a national visa is submitted in the Republic of Lithuania.

Documents and information required

1. Copy of the employee’s valid identity document;
2. Company’s incorporation documents;
3. List of the shareholders (if there are more than one shareholder in the company);
4. Company’s balance sheet;
5. Additional documents.

What do you need to know

If you plan to conclude or you have already concluded an employment contract with an employer which is registered in the Republic of Lithuania and is included in the List of Approved Companies, you can obtain a national visa on the basis of work.

Documents and information required

1. Company’s extract from the Registry;
2. Copy of the employee’s valid identity document;
3. Document proving the qualification of an enployee (diploma, certificate, work experience, etc.);
4. Work permit (if the profession is not included in the list of missing professions);
5. Employment contracts;
6. Additional documents.

15 calendar days from the submission of the documents and the application. This period may be extended to 45 calendar days in individual cases.

What do you need to know
